I can’t believe this! Nearly 8 years ago, outside of a Walmart in Howell Michigan a gentleman had a box full of black puppies he was selling for $10 each. I picked one of the males up and noticed there was something off about this little lab. The man said “that’s my favorite, I call him Mr. T” after the slight white pattern on his chest. He then told me his story: He had an AKC female English Bulldog he was waiting to breed. Well, needless to say his neighbors male AKC black Lab got to her first. Like you, he said he was just sick because now he would have to record this non pedigree litter. Well, I decided to take him home and named him Dozer. I have called him my labradozer and my bulldog retrieve but never thought of bullador. He is extremely athletic and loves to catch Frisbees, fetch, and swim. He is nearly 8 years old now (10/18) and despite some arthritis he has not slowed down a bit. What a powerful dog! Just a brute! Thank god he is completely harmless (other than he can be a little too friendly) because he would be a force that cannot be reckoned with. He is extremely intelligent and very loving and loyal (he is a good foot warmer too). I have two young kids and he is great with them other than the fact he has no couth and can accidentally knock them down and he can get carried away with the “kisses”. His caveats are his remarkable persistence when he wants something and the snot like drool he is known to produce. Other than that he is the best 10 bucks I have ever spent! I have always considered him to be a wonderful hybrid and truly one of a kind breed and was wondering if anyone else had caught onto this when I came across your site. I once had an English Bulldog breeder doubt his legitimacy because she said English Bulldogs are difficult to breed and usually have to be artificially inseminated. She asked if I was sure it wasn’t with a male bulldog and female lab instead. I told her I was sure and how sick the guy was when it happened. I know someday that man will regret being sick and selling those awesome hybrids for $10 each! I have attached a photo of my best friend Dozer (gotta love his “flying nun” ears). I was also wondered which way his tail would go but it turn out to be a stockier version of the lab- just like he is.

Keep up the good work! I think the best combo is female bulldog with male lab. If you bred two from this combo you would have the true Bullador. I like the 50/50 attributes verses the more bully look. Just my two cents.

Last year we decided that we were ready for a dog in our home. My brother
and I had our hearts set on an English bulldog. Since my boyfriend and I
are both teachers and my brother was a senior in high school, we decided
that our checkbooks couldn't afford one of those. That is when we stumbled
upon the Jimtown Kennels website. Little did we know that our bullador
would become one of the most important things in our lives.

We got on the waiting list and on March 9th, 2007, our Bocifus (Bo) was
born. He came from South Dakota and his sister is Jimtown Kennels' Dakota.
Bo is now almost 8 months old and has a great personality. He knows words
like football, farm, Hondo (my mom's chocolate lab at the farm), kiss,
shake, high five, roll over, etc. He can be hyper sometimes and does laps
around the house like it is a Nascar race, but most of the time he is
curled up on his fleece blanket on the couch. He loves to go on walks, but
is scared of bicycles! He love dish towels, remotes and cell phones. He is
a chewer! I spent $16 on a toy two weeks ago that said it was
"indestructable" and he had it torn apart in less than 30 minutes. We have
found that bones and rubber toys are the best.

Needless to say, after a few months of potty training, four classes of
obedience school, and lots of playtime, we have a member of our family that
is loved to death. A bullador is a perfect fit if you love labs. Bo is just
a mini chocolate lab with a short tail and nose. Thanks to Jimtown Kennels
we have an awesome bullador who fills our lives with love!

Hello,

My name is Brian Cone and I just adopted a Black lab/English bulldog puppy!
I started to search for dogs like mine and I came across your site. I
wanted to know if you minded posting some pics of "Chewie" on your site. I
know he didn't come from your kennels, but I thought I'd ask any way. Below
are some pics of "Chewie". He is 3 months old and is both playful, and laid
back, HOW WONDERFUL! I was looking at some pics of "Bullie" and I wanted to
ask how tall "Bullie" is and I wanted to know how much he weights so I know
roughly how big "Chewie" is going to get. Also, how old is "Bullie"? In any
event, here are some pics of "Chewie.
I look forward to hearing from you!
